BABY ON BOARD - THINGS TO KNOW WHILE TRAVELLING WITH TODDLERS
Flying with toddlers can get you
frazzled and turn your dream vacation from a big adventure into a nightmare if
you are not prepared for the potential problems. Here is a list of things you
could do to cope with long flights.
·
You
can never be too prepared when travelling with kids. Stock your bag with games, snack sand playing cards. Make sure to carry extra clothes and medicine because
kids might get a temperature or spill stuff on their clothes.
·
Unless your kids are potty trained, keep wet
wipes and pull-ups handy. This way during unexpected flight delays you won’t
have to panic. Knowing that you are prepared can relax you during your flight.
·
Carry a backpack as hand luggage so
that your both hands are free, making it easier for you to hold your kid’s
hand, push a stroller, carry your kid or have your passport and documents in
hand at the airport.
·
It is always advisable to pack a bag
for each of your kids for the flight. It could contain each of their favorite
stuffed toys, chocolates and snacks, coloring books and crayons or markers or
even a set of Lego blocks. This is a simple, inexpensive and sure way to get
them excited to open their bags and keep themselves occupied for a good while
during your flight.
·
Know the charges and regulations for
your particular airline when taking your baby along with you on a flight. Each
airline has its own rules when it comes to flying with babies. While some
airlines charge for one service, with others it is free. So know your airline
policy when it comes to kids. This will help you decide on the airline before
you book your parking JFK or SFO airport parking.
·
When flying with kids, make sure to be
punctual and check in on time.
